What Your Puppy Will Learn In Level 2

  1. 30-Second Stay at 2 Meters (Sit, Down, or Stand)
Your puppy will learn to stay in their chosen position for 30 seconds while you stand 2 meters away. This advanced stay command strengthens their patience and ability to remain focused, even with increased distance.
  2. 5-Second Chin Rest (Using Either Hand)
This skill teaches your puppy to gently rest their chin in your hand for 5 seconds, promoting calmness and trust. It’s a great way to build relaxation, improve handling tolerance, and prepare them for grooming or veterinary care.
  3. Recall to Side Finish (Sit on Either Side of Handler)
A well-trained recall is essential for safety and control. In this exercise, your puppy will return from 5 meters awayand sit neatly on either side of you instead of in front. This positioning is useful for advanced obedience and heel work.
  4. Leave a Moving Object (Food or Toy)
Strengthening impulse control, your puppy will learn to resist chasing or grabbing a moving object, such as a thrown toy or piece of food. This skill is especially valuable for preventing unwanted chasing behaviours and reinforcing focus on the handler.
  5. Figure-of-Eight Send Around
Your puppy will develop better coordination and focus by learning to navigate a figure-of-eight pattern around designated markers. This exercise enhances their ability to follow directional cues, improving agility and responsiveness.

What Your Puppy Will Learn In Level 3

Training your dog outside offers several benefits that go beyond what you can achieve indoors. Here are the main advantages of outdoor dog training:

1. Real-World Distractions

Why it matters: Dogs learn to focus on commands despite people, noises, smells, other animals, and vehicles.

Result: Stronger, more reliable obedience in any environment.

2. More Space to Practice

Why it matters: Outdoor areas allow for practicing long-distance recalls, leash walking, and agility.

Result: Better exercise and more dynamic training opportunities.

3. Exposure to New Environments

Why it matters: Dogs become more adaptable and less anxious in unfamiliar places.

Result: Improved confidence and socialisation.

4. Natural Enrichment

Why it matters: Sniffing, exploring, and seeing new sights are mentally stimulating.

Result: A more satisfied and tired dog after training sessions.

5. Improved Socialisation

Why it matters: Dogs encounter other people, dogs, and situations.

Result: They learn appropriate behaviour and develop better manners in public.

6. Weather Conditioning

Why it matters: Training in different weather helps dogs adjust to varying conditions.

Result: They become less reactive to wind, rain, or heat.

This will all be done with leads and training lines on.
